Who we are

Battery Storage Scotland is a trading name of Scottish Energy Efficiency, operated by Caledonia Energy Efficiency Ltd (Company Number [CRN]) with registered office at Unit 3 Prospect III, Prospect Business Centre, Dundee DD2 1TY. We are a renewable energy consultancy and introducer service. We do not carry out installations ourselves. Installations are delivered by our network of pre-vetted, fully-accredited installation partners.

Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through this website, we collect: name, contact details (phone, email, postcode), property details, battery interest, existing solar status, monthly electricity bill range. We also collect technical information automatically (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) via cookies and analytics.

How we use your information

With your consent (given by submitting the enquiry form), we use your information to:

Match you with installation partners in our network for the battery storage work you have enquired about
Pass your enquiry to those installation partners so they can contact you for a free quote
Send follow-up communications about your enquiry
Improve our website and service

Our installation partners are separate data controllers and bound by their own data protection obligations once they receive your enquiry.

Article 6(1)(a) consent and Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interest for operating our installer-matching business.

Who we share your data with

Installation partners in our pre-vetted network (separate data controllers); Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics where consented); Zapier Inc. (USA) for automated data routing. Transfers outside the UK covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry data retained 24 months from last contact. Analytics data 26 months.
